Maxwell International SPC is inviting investors to participate in its Oil refinery, Tank Farm & Terminal and Blending & Bunkering operations in Oman. these projects will establish a hub for crude and refined product trading and blending, strategically located at Sohar Port near Bab‑El‑Mandab and the Strait of Hormuz. Positioning Oman as a competitive global energy center bridging East and West.

Bunkering, Blending, and Oil Trading

Maxwell International SPC has proposed a bunkering, blending, and oil trading project centered at Sohar Port, Oman, a strategic location near Bab‑El‑Mandab and the Strait of Hormuz. Sohar offers reduced congestion compared to other global hubs and is positioned at the crossroads of major energy shipping routes. The company highlights delays in current bunker supply and aims to solve this with an experienced team, including specialists from Singapore, the world’s largest bunker hub. The initial market potential is 150,000–300,000 MT in the first six months, with volumes expected to double as efficiency attracts shipowners. Phase 1 requires ~$195–200M in capital for floating storage terminals, bunker barges, oil purchase funding, and operations. Assets include VLCC or Aframax vessels functioning as floating storage, plus barges for mobile supply. Concurrent blending and oil trading will maximize efficiency and profitability. Phase 2 expansion targets Singapore, with potential trading volumes of 300,000–500,000 MT per month. Profit margins are forecast at $20–50/MT for bunkering and $20–30/MT for blending. Maxwell emphasizes its 30 years of industry expertise and positions Sohar as a future global energy hub.
